Custom sizes are also available on request, maintaining all tolerance parameters.
What materials are Type D clamps made from?
Standard Type D clamps are fabricated from S235JR carbon steel sheet with a hot-dip galvanized coating for corrosion protection. For aggressive environments or the food industry, we offer AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel with passivation. All materials carry EN 10204 certificates (3.1/3.2), ensuring full traceability and compliance with technical requirements.
How do you install Type D clamps?
Installation is quick and straightforward: place the clamp around the pipe at the desired location, then tighten the two bolts to the recommended torque. The “D” shape stabilizes the pipe, reducing vibration and movement. Before installation, ensure the pipe surface is clean and lightly abraded to promote even load distribution. For high-vibration applications, we recommend using anti-vibration washers.
