FAQ
Most Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between symmetrical and eccentric reducers?
Symmetrical reducers maintain the flow axis, which minimizes turbulence and pressure loss in the system. Eccentric reducers shift the flow axis in one plane, useful where condensate drainage or prevention of contaminant buildup is required. Symmetrical versions are often used in long horizontal pipeline runs, while eccentric ones are used for vertical transitions and sloped layouts. We manufacture both types from the same materials and standards, adapting their shape to project requirements.
What materials are used for symmetrical reducers at PW Kral?
PW Kral produces symmetrical reducers from carbon steel pipes S235JR and P265GH, as well as stainless steel AISI 304 and AISI 316L. For chemically aggressive media, high-temperature service, or corrosive environments, we recommend stainless steel. All materials carry 3.1/3.2 certificates according to EN 10204, ensuring full identification of chemical composition and mechanical properties. This guarantees long-term, trouble-free operation.
What quality standards and tests do PW Kral products meet?
What is the lead time for a symmetrical reducer order?
Standard symmetrical reducers available in stock are shipped within 5–7 business days. Custom-made items typically require 2–4 weeks of production, depending on diameter, wall thickness, and complexity. With our own machine park, we can expedite orders and offer express processing for an additional fee. We always inform you of the expected delivery date so you can plan installation without delays.
